In the latest QS Best Student Cities 2022, Sydney ranked 8th of the best places to study around the world based on factors such as affordability, desirability and feedback from current students.
Since the country re-opened its doors to qualified visa holders, over 43,000 eligible, fully vaccinated international students have already set foot in Australia from the last few weeks of 2021 to the first weeks of January 2022– sending strong cue that the country continues to remain as one of the top study destinations globally. Following the state government’s International Student Arrivals Pilot Plan, Australia’s largest city, Sydney, welcomed over 500 international students from 19 countries across the globe, including those from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, South Korea, China and Canada last December 2021.
Prior to the pandemic, NSW had hosted about 290,000 international students, contributing to the vibrant community in the state. In particular , Sydney is one of the top study destinations within Australia for one too many reasons including being multi-cultural and being a diverse place offering unlimited fun experiences apart from the highly-recognised beach lifestyle.

Visit the Sydney Opera House
If one’s student budget or interest is not ready for an Opera experience, there are more things to do within the vicinity of Australia’s most iconic attraction.
